UPDATE: Lifeproof no longer offers the extended warranty by completing the quiz. They have now granted an automatic 365 day warranty on all LifeProof products from the date or purchase. You can read about it here.

 

LifeProof cases with come with a standard 90 day warranty.  By validating your warranty it is extended to 365 days.  Simply go to LifeProof’s warranty validation page, answer the quiz, fill out your product information, and submit!

It’s as easy as that!

    Here is the message I have received twice, ” Thank you for contacting LifeProof Customer Support.
    Your request for assistance has been received. Case #102896798 – “Water damage.” has been created for you. A member of our customer care team will respond to your case as soon as possible.”

    So much for replying to me as soon as possible. I am very dis-satisfied with the lack of service lifeproof has provided me. My phone got wet a full week ago. Since then I have spoken to 3 customer service representatives, the first one seemed to be completely ignorant, the second and third customer service reps seemed to be trying to assist me with the warranty claim. However now I have submitted the warranty claim “TWICE” and still received no response. I have had to take matters into my own hands to get my phone replaced at my own expense. Now I intend on hiring a lawyer to sue Lifeproof. In addition I will make it my life goal to inform everyone I can how bad the customer service is with lifeproof. LifeProof gives the Otter Box company a bad name. What good is advertising a one year warranty if it take you a year to reply. And another thing, what is with your phone customer service, it takes an average of 35 minutes to get to an operator, then they put you on hold for another 20 minutes just to tell you to file the claim online. I actually spent over an hour one day waiting for a customer service representative and holding the line while they checked their facts. Anyway I am severely disappointed (that’s putting it mildly) and fully intend on seeking legal assistance if this is not resolved soon and I do not receive reimbursement.

      LIFEPROOF cases are amazing!!!I have had both the iphone 4s and iphone 5 case and have had no problem with them. I test my cases monthly and they are in fact waterproof. I am not sure how you have let moisture in yours since I have taken photos underwater with mine and have not triggered my LDI on my iphone. It is tough to blame this company for your misfortune. As for a lawsuit good luck. Apple gave you a new iphone for $199. Just a consult would set you back more!!!
